2005

The original design and research book for Sissi, the Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary has over 50 pages.

Each costume design was based on my research of Sissi’s life and the fashion periods she lived in. I choose some of the significant events in Sissi’s life and for those I designed the costumes.

I always try to be truthful to the character and at the same time I am trying to bring something new and original to each design.

During my last trip to Europe I tried to obtain every book about Sissi; finding out that not all the details about her life and research materials which I found in 2005 were historically accurate.
